Who Should Install Jet Reports 2009?

Jet Reports 2009 contains new features and has improved performance characteristics over previous versions of Jet Reports, so we would like to encourage all users to upgrade to the new version.

There are a few things to keep in mind before upgrading. Dynamics NAV users do need to be on 4.0 SP1 executables or later, so if you are using Dynamics NAV connectors, and are not sure about this, refer to the What's New In Jet Reports 2009 Installer Reference or contact your Dynamics NAV value added reseller.

Installation Notes:

Before installing Jet Reports 2009, you should uninstall all previous versions of Jet Reports, including the Jet Reports 2009 Beta (if applicable).

If you have already installed Jet Reports 2009, but did not uninstall previous versions and encounter any problems, simply repeat the process by uninstalling all versions (including Jet Reports 2009) and then reinstall the new version.

Jet Reports 2009 is fully compatible with reports written in earlier Jet Reports versions, however it does contain new features and functionality and reports that are created in or saved with Jet Reports 2009 may not be compatible with earlier Jet Reports versions. For this reason we strongly recommend that users who share reports upgrade to Jet Reports 2009 at the same time. We also strongly encourage users to back up production reports before opening them with the new version for the same reason.
